We held our next tinyML Talks webcast. Ashvin Roharia from Edge Impulse presented Real World ML Solutions with Edge Impulse on February 1, 2024.

7-7:45pm : In-person presentation/demo.
Ashvin Roharia (Senior Embedded ML Solutions Engineer at Edge Impulse)
Demonstrate how to perform training data acquisition using a mobile phone.
Train a model on Edge Impulse to classify motion characteristics.
(The Community version of Edge Impulse is free to participants.)
Demonstrate the new model on the participant’s mobile phone (browser based, so no restriction on OS).
7:45-8pm : open-mic lighting talks
Opportunity for community to share observations, thought provoking discussion topics, and/or future presentation ideas
Ashvin has worked in the semiconductor industry for over 10 years working for companies like Intel, AMD, and Silicon Labs. He spent his time there working on firmware for IoT products. In 2022, Ashvin joined Edge Impulse as a solutions engineer to help customers with industrial and digital health use cases. Using computer vision, audio, and sensor data, he has created various ML solutions running on embedded devices. Ashvin holds a BS in Computer & Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MS in Computer Science from Georgia Tech.
