tinyML Challenge on August 15, 2022 “tinyML Smart Weather Station with Syntiant TinyML board” by Atul K. Gupta from Syntiant Corp

We held our next tinyML Challenge webcast. Atul K. Gupta from Syntiant presented tinyML Smart Weather Station with Syntiant TinyML board on August 15, 2022.

August 15 challenge forum

In this webinar, you will learn how you can use the Syntiant TinyML board for the “Smart Weather Station” challenge. We will be going over the key features of the Syntiant Tiny ML board. We will also introduce the unique technology that allows this board to dissipate ultra low power. This webinar will include some hints as to how to collect data and test models.

Syntiant’s TinyML Board is a tiny development board with a microphone and accelerometer, USB host microcontroller and an always-on Neural Decision Processor™, featuring ultra low-power consumption, a fully connected neural network architecture, and fully supported by Edge Impulse. You’ll be able to sample raw data, build models, and deploy trained embedded machine learning models directly from the Edge Impulse studio to create Always-on audio (AED) , voice (AoV) and motion (AoM) applications.

Atul K. Gupta is vice president of IoT products at Syntiant Corp. He is expert in mixed signal microchip and system design with over 12 years of leadership roles. Prior to joining Syntiant, he was vice president of engineering at the High Performance Analog (HPA) division of MACOM. His role was not only limited to lead the design but also lab validation, test and characterization and customer support through firmware and software support.Mr. Gupta was VP of engineering and CTO of HPA division of Mindspeed before it got acquired by MACOM. Prior to joining Mindspeed, he was director of technical marketing at Inphi and director of analog design at Inphi and Gennum Corporation. His leadership and contribution in the video and broadcast market led to a technical Emmy award for MACOM in 2016 and Gennum in 2007. He earned his Bachelor of Technology from IIT, Kanpur, India and master’s degree from University of Calgary, Canada. He has over 20 granted US and European patents.
