Makefile on page 84 in the book

I wanted to follow the steps in the tinyML Book. But on page 84 the Makefile doesn’t work. Can someone help me?

process_begin: CreateProcess(NULL, uname -m, …) failed.
tensorflow\lite\micro\tools\make\Makefile:28: pipe: No error
“-m” kann syntaktisch an dieser Stelle nicht verarbeitet werden.
FIND: Parameterformat falsch
make: *** No rule to make target ‘test_hello_world_test’. Stop.

This is the error message I get. The german part means that “-m” can’t syntacticly be processed at this position.
Sorry my english is not the best :frowning:
Thank you for your help!

Interesting—the makefile uses the uname command to determine the system architecture, and it looks like the uname -m flag is not available on your machine.

You can probably just get around this issue by replacing this line with the architecture of your machine:

So if you’re using an ix86 architecture, just change it to the following:

HOST_ARCH := "x86_32"

Thank you! :grinning:

Hi all, i have some similar issue, the make test for hello_world and micro_speech work fine on my ubuntu virtual machine, but the make test for person_detection don’t work for me error:
→ make: *** No rule to make target ‘test_image_provider_test’. Stop.

Can anyone help with this.

Same here. Using Ubuntu 20.04 WSL on Win10. Hello_world and micro_speech work fine, for all person_detection tests, I get the same error ("No rule to make target … "). Not a terrible problem as it does not prevent me from continuing, but still worthwhile reporting, I think.
Cheers,
Frank.
